What is the difference between a 1-liner and a 3-liner? When do you choose a 1-point needle or a 3-point needle?
Paula Klemmer from Beauty By Us made a video to show the difference between the pixels of a 1P Round Liner 0.25, a 1P Round Liner 0.30 and the 3P Round Liner 0.25.
Difference between 1P Round Liners for Permanent Make-up
1 point Round Liner 25
The 1P / 0.25 is a 1-point needle, the needle module contains 1 needle. This needle is ultra-thin and narrow, making it very nice to use for finer work such as: machine hairstrokes, outlines for the eyebrows or for an outline for PMU lips.
1 point Round Liner 30
The 1P / 0.30 is also a 1-point needle, but this needle is slightly 'thicker'. The number 0.30 represents the thickness of the needle, in mm. The needle feels less sharp on the skin, you can also pixelate the lips very nicely with it, for example.
3-point Round Liner 25
The 3P/0.25 is a 3-point needle. This module contains 3 needles that fit together in a round formation (Round Liner) are placed. The 3 needles make it easier to insert pigment. You make more pixels in one movement with 3 needles than with a 1-liner. You then cover a slightly larger surface area and can therefore work faster than with a 1-point needle.
There are of course many more configurations to choose from for PMU. View and order different types of needles brands at Amavi PMU.
