My favorite part with permanent makeup is the Shadow Eyeliner technique with which I achieved 1st place during WULOP Benelux 2021, which allowed me to participate in the World Cup in Antalya Turkey. In 2022, he achieved 4th place during the PMU World Expo and again qualified to compete at the World Championships in Munich in September of this year (2023).
Anyway, the shaded eyeliner is extremely hot and happening in Eastern Europe and fortunately here in the Netherlands we are also starting to taste this
part of permanent make-up could be the bomb. As cool as it all sounds, caution is needed with this part. Anyway
is the experience of putting the infralash / deepliner very important. Are you
Just like me, someone who enjoys a challenge? Then this shadow eyeliner really crazy to put. So for all the die hards in the PMU world, this technique is really a must have in your practice.
This technique is not suitable for every customer. A consultation appointment prior to treatment is mandatory in my practice. This way I know on the day itself that I will not have to deal with an overbooked appointment where only a normal or maximum Baby Wing is possible. After all, time is money.
With a eyeliner shader treatment you can easily be busy for 2 to 3 hours.

HOW TO DETERMINE THE SHAPE OF THE EYES FROM YOUR CUSTOMER
The most important thing is to determine the customer's eye shape in advance before drawing. The focus should be on the eye, not on the entire face, which does apply to the eyebrows.
THERE ARE FOUR MOST COMMON EYE SHAPES:
- Almond eye (considered the ideal eye shape)
- Round eye (eye very suitable)
- Eye with drooping eyelids (Hoody eye)
- Monolid eye (Asian eye)
The almond-shaped eye is the most perfect shape, followed by the round eye, where you often have a firmer one eyeliner achieved a beautiful effect.
Achieve the Hoody eye and the Monolid with the shader treatment results less. Now, on the other hand, the Wing often looks very nice with this eye type. I prefer to brighten up the drooping eyelids with the shadow + infralash technique which is quite new in PMU country, here I have a nice training that you can follow if you are starting out eyeliner you are an artist.
THE CUSTOMER'S SKIN
- Young and tight skin (best result.)
- Middle-aged (only with sufficient experience can you treat this customer.)
- Mature (Be very careful with this skin type.)
It is very important that the skin thickness on the eyelids and the superficial blood vessels on the part of the eye where the shading and the wing are pigmented are taken into account. No one benefits from a blow-out of pigments under the skin.
Be careful when your client uses eyelash growth fluid. This ensures that the capillaries dilate and there is a greater chance of blood or a blow-out during the treatment. Even if your client has undergone eyelid correction, it is advisable to wait at least 6 months before applying shading / eyeliner. Tensing the skin can be painful for the client. The skin must also be healed from within. After an eyelid correction, blood vessels will sometimes become more visible on the moving eyelid. This can also cause difficulties.
COLORS FOR A SHADOW EYELINER
- Infraliner with a black color.
- Shader with a brown or black color, use only a temporary pigment. (organic)
NEEDLE CHOICE
Sometimes I work with a 3 point power liner when there is a firm eyeliner needs to be set, other times I only use a 1-point needle. Please note that the Nano needle remains sharp! I use 1 Nano needle per eye. If the needle becomes dull, you cannot afford to accidentally get stuck in the thin eye skin while pixelating. I prefer to use a traditional 1 point needle for the Shadow where you can see the pixels nicely. But I also work with a 0.25 or sometimes even 0.25 Nano needle where you see fewer pixels but get more of a powder effect. This depends on the wish but also on what is possible on the skin! You will learn this during a Masterclass training. Regarding the machine, this can be done with a long or short stroke, both are suitable.
HOW TO DO THE SHADOW EYELINER ADVENTS

First of all I use the wing-mapping technology. This is only possible with tighter eyelids. If this is not the case, my client sits directly opposite me. Eyes also have different shapes when sitting or lying down!
Take this into account with a mature skin type. If the skin is still tight, then the customer should still mapping upright to check the lines.
