A MAJOR TREND IN PERMANENT MAKEUP: PIXEL EFFECT EYEBROWS
Pixel brows, also known as the powder brows technique, are very popular right now. They are executed perfectly by many specialists and PMU masters and are now a staple on Instagram. But how do you create perfect pixels and how do you create the most beautiful powder brows that everyone loves so much?
Read the advice from Biotek experts below!
1. The Skin
Unfortunately, not every skin type is suitable for creating the perfect pixels we’d love to see. The precise and accurate pixels only look their best on dry or combination skin. On oily skin, the pixels will appear fainter and blurrier.
2. Choose the right needle
If the skin is dry or combination, we can use a 1-liner needle for a perfect pixel technique.
Biotek offers 6 different 1-liner needles for its own PMU machine, the Ingot, allowing you to create different effects on every skin type. For powder brows, Biotek recommends the 1P-HD liner. The Biotek HD needle is a unique needle with a long, sharp taper and a special plastic tip, making the needle extra stable and delivering 30% more color.
3. The correct movement
The correct hand movement to make the pixels clearly visible is the pendulum motion. With the machine at a 90-degree angle, you make a repetitive motion with your hand, causing the tip of the needle to enter the skin.
4. The right pigment
Not all pigments are suitable for eyebrow shading. Use a liquid and highly concentrated pigment. Note: do not use pigments that are too diluted or lack sufficient pigment density. Otherwise, you run the risk of damaging the skin by making too many passes while implanting insufficient pigment.
Rapid Shading pigments from Biotek
Biotek has created a new line of pigments: the Rapid Shading eyebrow pigments. The innovative formulation makes the pigments easy to use and allows for very quick application into the skin. They have a liquid, non-greasy texture, which helps create clearly visible dots from the very first stroke.
The line consists of 5 shades, all neutral and balanced, so you don’t need to add any modifiers. With the Rapid Shading pigments and these tips, you’ll create perfect pixels!
