COLLAB ANNOUNCEMENT ~ ELHAM KARIMI

We can welcome another great guest as a guest blogger at Amavi! Elham from Clinic & Academy Magnifique Beauty is a beauty & skin specialist, make-up artist and PMU specialist and will share her knowledge, tips, tricks and fun blogs with you via our website.

Welcome Elham!

Want to know more about Elham? We asked her a few questions:

How long have you been working with PMU and how did you start?
“I have been doing PMU for 6 years now with skin treatments next door in our salon. I have been making beautiful eyebrows with make-up for a long time, but that is of course not permanent. That is why I decided to get started with PMU. I was educated at Phi Academy. Initially I started with microblading. Microblading is very nice but often does not last long. Because I was looking for the makeup look more, I started doing powderbrows.”

What would you like to share as a blogger at Amavi?

“Unfortunately I see a lot of misinformation about the skin. It is so important that PMU specialists have skin knowledge in order to achieve good results. That is why I want to share tips and tricks about the skin via Amavi. We work as specialists in the skin, so the basic knowledge about skin types must be there. Which skin type does or does not suit which treatment. Attention is not always paid, even though it can have consequences for the result. Microblading, for example, is a specific technique that is not possible for everyone. It is up to you as a specialist to assess this and advise your customer in this regard. Also dare to say no, if the result is ultimately not as expected or has unpleasant consequences, then it is your name on it. That is a consideration that must be made consciously.”

How did you gain this knowledge as a starter?

“In the meantime I have gained a lot of knowledge about skin. I want to see the logic and understand what works and what doesn't work on which skins. Which colors and which treatments are good on which skin type. As a starter, I did not choose the easiest path. I got a lot of tough skins in the beginning. As a skin specialist, I saw it as a challenge to help customers as best as possible. I dived into it and I've always written down everything I've done with that skin. By then anxiously waiting 6 weeks for the cure, I was able to learn a lot from it and I can now draw the right conclusions.”
