Shadow Eyeliner Technology

on August 07, 2023
In the Netherlands, when it comes to permanent make-up, we sometimes go one step behind with other countries within Europe. Perhaps we first look the cat out of the tree and then we only jump into the deep.

My favorite part with permanent makeup is the Shadow Eyeliner technology with which I achieved the 1st during Wulop Benelux 2021, so that I could participate in the World Cup in Antalya Turkey. In 2022 a 4th place during the PMU World Expo and again a qualification to be able to compete in September of this year (2023) at the World Cup in Munich.

Anyway, The Shaded Eyeliner is enormous hot and happening in Eastern Europe and here in the Netherlands we are also starting to taste that this too
Part of permanent makeup can sometimes be the bomb. No matter how cool it all sounds, caution is offered with this part. Anyway
The experience in setting the Infralash / Deepliner is very important. Are you
Just like me, someone who fuels a challenge? Then this Shadow Eyeliner is really crazy to convert. So for all those hards in the PMU world, this technique is really a must have in your practice.

Let me start at the beginning

This technique is not suitable for every customer. A consultation appointment prior to the treatment is mandatory in my practice. For example, on the day itself I know that I am not confronted with a too spacious booked appointment where only a normal or maximum baby wing is possible. After all, time is money.

With an eyeliner shader Treatment can be just 2 hours to 3 hours sweet.

How do you determine the shape of the eyes From your customer
The most important thing is to determine the eye shape of the customer in advance before you start signs. The focus must be on the eye, not on the entire face that does apply to the eyebrows.

There are four most common Eye forms:

  • Almond eye (considered the ideal eye shape)
  • Round eye (eye very suitable)
  • Eye with hanging eyelids (hoody eye)
  • Monolid Eye (Asian eye)

The almond -shaped eye is the most perfect shape followed by the round eye where you often achieve a beautiful effect with a stronger eyeliner.

The hoody eye and the monolid achieve with the shader Treatment less results. Now, on the other hand, the wing often wants to look very nice with this eye type. The hanging eyelids I prefer to brighten up with the Shadow + Infralash technology which is fairly new in PMU Land, here I have a nice training for which you can already follow if you are a starting eyeliner artist.

Customer's skin

  • Young and tight skin (most beautiful result.)
  • Middle age (only with sufficient experience can you treat this customer.)
  • Ripe (be very careful with this skin type.)

It is of great importance that the skin thickness is taken into account on the eyelids and the superficial blood vessels on the part of the eye where the shading and the wing are pigmented. Nobody is bathed with a blow-out of pigments under the skin.

Be careful when your customer uses eyelash growth liquid. This ensures that the capillaries are widening and there is more chance of blood or a blow-out during treatment. Even when your customer has undergone an eyelid correction, it is advisable to wait at least 6 months with a shading / eyeliner. Tensioning the skin can be painful for the customer. The skin must also be cured from the inside. After an eyelid correction, blood vessels will sometimes become more clearly visible on the moving eyelid. This can also cause difficulties.

Colors for a Shadow Eyeliner

  • Infraliner with a black color.
  • Shader With a brown or black color, only use a temporary pigment. (organic)

Needle choice

I work with a 3 point power one time liner If a sturdy eyeliner needs to be set, the other time I only use a 1-point needle. Keep in mind that the nano needle remains sharp! I use 1 nano needle by eye. You can't afford it when the needle becomes bone that you accidentally get stuck in the thin eye skin while pixel. I prefer to use a traditional 1 point needle for the Shadow where you can see the pixels beautifully. But I also work with a 0.25 or sometimes even 0.25 nano needle where you see fewer pixels but more the powder effect. This depends on the wish but also what is possible on the skin! You learn this during a master class training. Concerns the machine, that is possible with a long or short stroke, both are suitable.

How should you sign the Schadow Eyeliner

First of all I use the Wing-Mapping Technology. This is only possible with the tighter eyelids. If this is not the case, my client is right in front of me. Eyes are sitting or lying also differently in shape!
Keep this in mind with a mature skin type. If the skin is still tight, then just as well put the customer upright after the Wing Mapping to check the lines.

Greetings Kim!
